Our Victorian primary school building has been thoughtfully transformed into a collaborative workspace where architects and planning consultants share ideas daily. At 51 Calthorpe Street, we've preserved the character of this historic Bloomsbury building while creating an open-plan environment that actually works for modern professionals. The original school architecture gives us something special - high ceilings and large windows that flood the space with natural light throughout the day. We've kept the warehouse feel that makes people want to stay and work, rather than rushing off at 5pm. The dedicated desk spaces sit within our main studio area, so you're part of the conversation when you want to be, with your own permanent spot when you need to focus. Being former school premises, we have more room than typical offices. The open layout encourages those spontaneous discussions that lead to the best ideas. Our current mix of architects and planning consultants creates an atmosphere where design thinking is part of everyday conversation. We're looking for professionals who appreciate this kind of environment - people who see value in working alongside others who understand the creative process. The building itself tells a story. Originally built for the British and Foreign School Society, these walls have always been about learning and growth. Now, instead of children's voices, you'll hear design debates and planning discussions. We're part of a larger development that includes residential flats above, but our office space maintains its own identity. Farringdon station is genuinely just around the corner - a proper two-minute walk. King's Cross and St. Pancras International are both within easy reach, making client meetings across London or even Paris completely manageable. The Bloomsbury location puts us between the energy of King's Cross and the established feel of Holborn.
