The Main Hall stands as the architectural centrepiece of our Victorian mansion, where original features from 1878 create an atmosphere no modern venue can replicate. Walk into this two-storey space and your eyes are immediately drawn upward to the minstrel's gallery, its carved wooden balustrade overlooking the room just as it did when Joseph Chamberlain entertained here. We've hosted countless celebrations in this room, from grand wedding receptions with 130 guests mingling beneath the high vaulted ceilings to intimate banquets where 80 diners enjoy dinner by candlelight. The rich red carpet underfoot and intricate period woodwork create warmth throughout the space, while natural light streams through tall windows during daytime events. Our in-house catering team prepares everything fresh from the original Victorian kitchens, whether you're planning a formal dinner, cocktail reception, or celebratory feast. We accommodate all dietary requirements, including halal, vegan and gluten-free options, and our fully licensed bar serves until 1:00 AM. You're also welcome to bring your own wine or champagne for a corkage fee. The acoustics in this grand hall are exceptional, something particularly appreciated during speeches and presentations. We've equipped the space with modern essentials including Wi-Fi, projector and PA system, ensuring your event runs smoothly whilst maintaining the historic character.
