Our Upstairs room combines the warmth of a private dining club with the character of Georgian Reading. Colourful chairs dot the space alongside plush blue banquette seating that runs along the walls, creating intimate corners for conversation. Above, elegant chandeliers catch the light streaming through the original church house windows, their glow complementing the vibrant wall colours and carefully chosen artwork. We've designed this space to work as hard as you need it to. The flexible layout accommodates 40 seated guests comfortably, whether you're planning a birthday celebration, team lunch, or business presentation. Our tables can be arranged in various configurations, from one long banquet-style setup to smaller groups for more intimate dining. The banquette seating proves particularly popular for relaxed gatherings where guests want to settle in for the evening. The room maintains all the period features of the converted church house, with high ceilings that give an impressive sense of space without feeling overwhelming. Decorative greenery softens the historic architecture, while the mix of seating styles means everyone finds their perfect spot. Natural daylight pours through those Georgian windows during lunch service, transforming to a more intimate atmosphere as our chandeliers take over for evening events.
