Step into our grand Kemey's Room and you'll immediately understand why couples fall in love with this space. Rich blue walls embrace the room, while original wood paneling tells stories of the families who've celebrated here since 1450. The parquet flooring gleams beneath a vintage chandelier, and natural light pours through tall windows, creating that perfect glow for wedding photography. We've named this room after the Kemey family who once called Llanrumney Hall home, and their portraits still watch over celebrations from beside our magnificent fireplace. Built-in bookshelves line the walls, adding warmth and character that transforms every wedding into something truly special. The intricate ceiling moldings and period features create an atmosphere you simply won't find in modern venues. For your wedding reception, we can accommodate up to 80 guests standing or 40 seated, giving you flexibility for both intimate ceremonies and larger celebrations. We love helping couples transform the space with their chosen flowers and table arrangements, watching as their vision comes to life against our historic backdrop. The room's generous proportions mean there's plenty of space for dancing, mingling, and creating those unforgettable moments. Getting here couldn't be easier for your guests, with ample parking on site and excellent public transport links from across Cardiff. The surrounding grounds provide stunning backdrops for your wedding photos, whether you prefer formal portraits by the historic building or relaxed shots in our garden spaces. We've hosted countless weddings since our restoration in 2015, and each one brings new joy to these ancient walls. Whether you're planning an intimate ceremony or need additional rooms for your celebration, we'll work with you to create the perfect layout. Many couples choose to combine the Kemey's Room with our other spaces or even hire the entire building for their special day.
