The glazed wall of wine catches your eye first - hundreds of bottles creating a dramatic partition between The Wine Study and our main restaurant. This private dining room feels like stepping into a wine collector's personal library, where serious conversations happen over exceptional food. We designed this space for those moments when privacy matters. The long walnut table seats up to 18 guests comfortably, with proper elbow room and plush upholstered chairs that encourage lingering over port (fitting, given our building's history as the Sandeman cellars). White linens and fresh florals add elegance without fuss, while contemporary artwork punctuates the wine-lined walls. The soft lighting works brilliantly here - bright enough to read a wine label or contract, intimate enough for celebrations. We've hosted everything from board dinners to milestone birthdays in this room, and the atmosphere adapts beautifully. The wine collection isn't just decorative either; our sommelier loves nothing more than plucking something special from these racks to pair with your menu. Being connected to the main restaurant means our kitchen can deliver the full Modern European menu directly to your table, with dishes arriving at their peak. The glazed partition provides complete acoustic privacy whilst maintaining that buzz of a working restaurant - you're secluded but not isolated. The City location serves you well here. Bank, Monument and Cannon Street stations all within a few minutes' walk means your guests can arrive easily, whether coming from different offices or travelling into London. We're open Monday to Friday, with full weekend availability for private hire. Our events team handles all the details - menu planning, wine pairings, dietary requirements, even specific seating arrangements. They understand City dining and what makes these gatherings work, from quick working lunches to long celebration dinners.
