Deep teal walls wrap around our Whole Venue, where candlelight creates an intimate glow across antique wooden tables throughout the evening. This basement space at 140 Fetter Lane sits beneath the historic grounds of Clifford's Inn, London's oldest Inn of Court dating back to 1344, and we've carefully preserved that sense of history while creating somewhere truly special for your celebrations. Our main dining room comfortably seats 60 guests for dinner or opens up to accommodate 80 for standing receptions. Round and rectangular tables dot the space, surrounded by classic wooden chairs, while our signature wall of bottles and decorative pieces adds character to every corner. Fresh flowers bring bursts of colour throughout the week, and the soft lighting transforms the atmosphere as day turns to evening. The mezzanine level provides additional flexibility for your event. This more intimate area works beautifully as a cocktail space during larger parties or can host smaller groups who want their own corner. A round table sits against floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and an ornate mirror, creating that library atmosphere many guests particularly love. We've equipped the space with everything modern events require: Wi-Fi throughout, projector facilities, a PA system for speeches or background music, and air conditioning to keep everyone comfortable. Our kitchen team creates menus built around British seasonal ingredients with Italian influences, from hand-stretched pizzas to carefully sourced produce. The bar offers our complete selection of wines and cocktails, chosen specifically to complement our food. Between Chancery Lane and Blackfriars stations, we're easy to reach from anywhere in London. Corporate gatherings, wedding receptions, milestone birthdays, we've hosted them all in our candlelit space. Our events team works with you to create bespoke menus, whether you're planning canapés and cocktails or a formal seated dinner.
