The HOURS Event Space brings together everything creative events need in Bristol's Christmas Steps Art Quarter. We've designed this 48-square-meter ground floor room to adapt to whatever you're planning, whether that's an exhibition opening, yoga workshop, training session, or photo shoot. Dark oak floors run throughout the space, while our clean white walls provide the perfect backdrop for artwork or projections. Natural light pours through our large windows during daytime events, offering glimpses of the surrounding cityscape, though our adjustable lighting system means evening gatherings feel just as welcoming. We can dim things down for film screenings or brighten everything up for product photography. The room comfortably hosts 30 people for standing receptions or 20 for seated arrangements. Our projector handles presentations smoothly, and the Wi-Fi actually keeps up with everyone's devices. The kitchenette comes fully equipped for self-catering, plus we provide complimentary tea and coffee with both dairy and non-dairy options. Most groups order from the cafés in Colston Yard below, who deliver straight to our door. We've hosted some wonderfully diverse events here. Art exhibitions transform the space monthly, each one opening to the public for a weekend. Yoga instructors appreciate the underfloor heating that keeps everyone comfortable during floor work. Photography crews love how the natural light plays across the white walls. Training workshops benefit from our flip chart and reliable tech setup, while creative groups have run everything from life drawing to wreath-making sessions. Bristol Bus Station sits just a short walk away, making arrival simple for out-of-town guests. The facilities include a bathroom with shower, particularly useful for those cycling in or heading somewhere afterwards.
