About Royal Statistical Society
Our 19th century Victorian building at 12 Errol Street has been home to The Royal Statistical Society since we moved here, and we've carefully adapted our historic spaces to serve modern meeting needs. The original architectural details - high ceilings, period features, and generous windows - create an atmosphere that feels both professional and distinctive, quite different from typical corporate meeting rooms. We have four flexible meeting spaces that work equally well for board meetings, training sessions, or workshops. Each room comes equipped with the technology you'd expect: Bose sound systems, Sennheiser microphones, and our Barco Clickshare wireless presentation system that lets you connect instantly without wrestling with cables. Our super-thin bezel video wall delivers crystal-clear presentations, while secondary glazing keeps street noise out during important discussions. The Ondaatje Lecture Theatre serves as our largest space, accommodating up to 120 delegates for conferences, seminars, or award ceremonies. We've hosted everything from academic presentations to corporate training days here. The theatre's advanced AV setup handles complex presentations smoothly, and our dedicated ethernet and dual-band WiFi (both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) ensure reliable connectivity for hybrid meetings. Beyond meetings, we regularly transform our spaces for art exhibitions, photoshoots, and filming projects. The Main Hall, Map Room, and Education Centre can be configured in boardroom, classroom, theatre, banquet, or U-shaped layouts. Our outdoor terrace provides a pleasant break-out space when weather permits. Lodge Catering, our trusted partner, handles everything from working lunches to formal dinners. Getting here is straightforward - we're walking distance from Old Street, Barbican, and Moorgate tube stations, with Liverpool Street railway station nearby. Ground-floor rooms and stair lifts provide accessibility, though some original features do present limitations in certain areas.
