The original Burleigh pottery moulds watch over every meeting in The Burgess Room, where your team gathers beneath the same wooden beams that featured in *The Great Pottery Throw Down*. We've kept this historic judging room exactly as it was, with rows of authentic moulds creating walls that tell the story of 130 years of craftsmanship. Skylights flood the space with natural light, picking out the grain in our wooden tables and the warm tones of the exposed beams overhead. We've arranged cushioned wooden chairs that work equally well for boardroom discussions or classroom-style training sessions. The industrial-style lighting adds character while keeping everything bright for note-taking and presentations. Our built-in bar transforms the room after hours, turning formal meetings into relaxed networking sessions. The wooden flooring creates excellent acoustics for speakers, while the high ceilings give presentations room to breathe. We can accommodate 80 people in various configurations, with theatre-style seating extending capacity to 120 for larger presentations. The lift brings you straight to our upper floor location, making access straightforward for everyone. We've ensured toilet and baby change facilities are close by for convenience during longer sessions. The heritage setting seems to inspire creative thinking - perhaps it's the presence of all those pottery moulds, each one representing a design challenge solved by Victorian craftspeople. Between sessions, the room's atmosphere encourages conversation. Groups often linger by the moulds, discussing which patterns they recognise from their grandparents' dinner services. The space works particularly well for strategy sessions, training workshops, product launches, and team briefings where you want something more inspiring than a standard conference room.
