The renaissance pillars in our Grand Ballroom have watched over London celebrations since Victorian times, their hand-painted details still catching light from the Murano glass chandeliers we carefully restored last decade. At 364 square metres with six-metre ceilings, this Grade II listed space gives your event room to breathe, whether you're planning a wedding for 250 guests at round tables or need theatre seating for 275. We often see brides pause when they first enter, taking in how their chosen flowers will look reaching toward those sparkling chandeliers. The original parquet flooring has hosted everything from corporate product launches using our pillars as projection surfaces to charity galas where guests dance until the early hours. The ballroom opens directly onto the Portland Foyer, where we typically arrange welcome drinks, and during warmer months, guests naturally spill out onto our terrace overlooking the rose garden. Our events team works with you to transform the space: cabaret-style for 250, traditional banquet rounds, or we can clear the floor entirely for dancing. Michel Roux Jr.'s kitchen matches the grandeur with menus drawing from his double Michelin-starred expertise, each plate designed to complement your celebration. We coordinate with your chosen suppliers, from florists who understand the scale of our columns to photographers who know exactly where the afternoon light falls through our tall windows. The Langham sits in central London with easy access from multiple transport links, making arrival simple for your guests.
