Walking through Kingly Court's entrance, our Upstairs Bar greets you with white-tiled walls covered in wartime posters and faded tube maps, each one carefully sourced from London's forgotten corners. This intimate space above our main underground station holds 30 guests for standing receptions or seats 20 for banquets, making it perfect for birthday gatherings, engagement celebrations, or corporate parties wanting something different from the usual Soho spots. We've furnished this room with mismatched wooden chairs and worn leather armchairs that circle small tables topped with tea lights in jam jars. Above your head, dozens of vintage lampshades hang at different heights, collected from estate sales and antique markets across London. Their soft amber light creates pockets of warmth throughout the evening, especially as natural light fades through the original sash windows. Our bar runs along one wall, where bartenders work among rows of spirits displayed in old medicine bottles and ceramic teapots. Those teapots aren't just decoration, they're how we serve our house cocktails, poured tableside while your guests wonder what's coming next. Behind the bar, tube maps from different decades overlap with advertisements for long-gone products, creating a backdrop that changes depending on where you're sitting. Period suitcases stacked in corners hold bar supplies, while authentic station signage points to platforms that no longer exist. The wooden bar top shows its age in the best way, marked by decades of glasses and conversations. During parties, the space fills with swing music from our sound system, though we can adjust the playlist to match your celebration's mood. Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus stations are both within a five-minute walk, convenient for guests arriving from anywhere in London. Our extended licensing means your party can continue into the early hours, with our kitchen serving British comfort food and American classics throughout the evening.
