The Morris Room brings together exposed Victorian brickwork and herringbone oak flooring in a way that immediately catches your eye. Those original brick arches, built when our venue first opened its doors in 1898, create natural divisions within the 10.6m x 6.1m space, and we often see groups using these alcoves for breakout discussions or refreshment stations. Natural light pours through the large arched windows that mirror the brick archways, giving the room a brightness you don't always find in period buildings. We've kept the industrial character intact while adding everything modern meetings require, from complimentary Wi-Fi throughout to video conferencing equipment that connects seamlessly with remote participants. The space works beautifully in different configurations. For board meetings, we can seat 30 around tables, while theatre-style presentations accommodate up to 50 delegates. When hosting workshops or training sessions, the room's proportions allow for easy movement between group activities. We've also welcomed networking receptions here for up to 90 guests, where the brick alcoves become natural conversation spots. Our natural cooling system keeps the temperature comfortable year-round without any distracting background noise, something regular clients particularly appreciate during long strategy sessions. The herringbone flooring not only looks striking but also provides excellent acoustics, whether you're presenting to a full room or breaking into smaller discussion groups. The room we had was lovely - a little small but we were able to spread out into the courtyard, so that was great. Staff on site were 100% helpful and professional the whole day. Will definitely use again.
