This was where the original owners took their meals back in the 1880s, and we've kept everything that made it special: the rich oak panelling that lines the walls, the intricately carved fireplace with its classical painting above, and that magnificent oak dining table that has hosted countless conversations over the decades. We can accommodate up to 20 guests here, whether you're planning a banquet-style dinner or a more relaxed reception format. The high-backed chairs are surprisingly comfortable for long dinners, upholstered in fabric that complements the room's warm wood tones. Our team sets each table with crisp white linens that catch the light from the chandeliers overhead, creating an atmosphere that feels both grand and welcoming. What strikes most people about dining in the Simonds Room is how the space changes throughout the day. Morning meetings benefit from natural light streaming through those generous windows, with views over our gardens providing a calming backdrop.
