The Theatre at The Tabernacle wraps you in Victorian grandeur the moment you enter through our historic doors. Red wooden beams stretch across the high ceiling, while original Romanesque arches frame the space, their intricate detailing preserved from when this building first served Notting Hill's community. We've configured our theatre to work brilliantly for different occasions. For conferences and presentations, we arrange 270 seats in traditional rows facing our fully-equipped stage. When clients host award ceremonies or festive dinners, we switch to cabaret-style with 124 guests seated at round tables, giving everyone clear sightlines while maintaining that intimate atmosphere our red-upholstered chairs help create. Corporate parties and product launches often use the full standing capacity of 499 people, transforming the space into a buzzing reception venue. Our technical team has installed professional lighting and sound systems that rival dedicated performance venues. The adjustable spotlights work equally well illuminating keynote speakers as they do creating atmosphere for evening celebrations. We regularly host live bands on our stage, and the acoustics, enhanced by those soaring ceilings and wooden architecture, always impress performers and audiences alike. Getting here couldn't be easier, with several tube stations within walking distance and excellent bus connections throughout Notting Hill. Our lift access serves both theatre levels, ensuring all your guests can move comfortably throughout the building. The ground floor facilities include accessible toilets positioned conveniently near our main entrance. During interval drinks or networking breaks, guests naturally flow between the theatre and our bar area. Our kitchen stays open throughout events, whether you need catering for a working lunch or canapés during an evening reception. The versatility of this space means we've hosted everything from fashion shows to charity galas, each event making use of our theatre's unique character.
