I'll let you in on something—when we were designing Arboretum, someone suggested putting a living wall in the main lounge. "Too much," some said. "Gimmicky," others worried. Thank goodness we ignored them. That wall has become the talking point of every event, and more importantly, it actually changes the energy in the room. We're hidden just off the chaos of Leicester Square, which throws people at first. One minute you're dodging tourists, the next you're in this calm, green space that feels miles away. The Hub on the Square is where things get livelier—we've hosted everything from fintech demos to poetry slams on that stage. Different crowds, same feedback: the space adapts to what they need. Our members often grab a workout in the gym before their meetings. There's something about that endorphin boost that makes negotiations flow better—though that might just be my theory. We've made sure all the practical stuff works seamlessly: the tech connects, the air con doesn't sound like a jet engine, and you can bring in whatever food and drink suits your event.
