The Barbirolli Room welcomes you with soaring ceilings and a wall of windows that stretches from floor to ceiling, bringing Manchester's changing light into every corner. We've kept the décor deliberately neutral here, creating a blank canvas where your vision comes to life, whether that's draping fabric for a wedding reception or setting up exhibition stands for a corporate showcase. Our moveable partition wall transforms this space completely. Pull it across, and you've got an intimate setting for 50 guests celebrating a milestone birthday. Open it up, and suddenly you're hosting 180 people for a cocktail reception, with room to breathe and mingle. The flexibility extends to our layouts too: we regularly switch from cabaret rounds of 96 for morning conferences to banquet tables for 120 by evening. The adjacent foyer spaces work as natural extensions of the main room. We see clients using them for arrival drinks, registration desks, or exhibition displays while keeping the main space clear for dining or presentations. The flow between areas means your photographer can capture group shots in the foyer while the band sets up inside, or delegates can network over coffee without missing the next speaker. Our technical package covers everything from pin-spot lighting for centrepieces to full PA systems for speeches and performances.
