The Brabourne Room catches everyone off guard when they first walk in. People expect something formal, given we're in St James's, but instead they find this wonderful Edwardian space where garden views steal the show through floor-to-ceiling glass doors. We've watched countless events unfold here, from intimate wedding ceremonies by the ornate fireplace to buzzing corporate receptions spilling onto the garden terrace. The room has this knack for adapting to whatever you throw at it. Set up 40 for an elegant dinner and those grand chandeliers create the perfect ambience, or clear the light wooden floors for 60 guests mingling with champagne as daylight streams through those enormous windows. The architectural details tell their own story, proper Edwardian craftsmanship that photographers adore. That fireplace becomes a natural focal point, whether you're saying vows in front of it or using it as backdrop for the cake cutting. The patterned tiles at the entrance always get comments, a lovely original feature we've carefully preserved. Our catering team works from proper kitchens, so whether you're after canapés or a full wedding breakfast, everything arrives fresh and on time.
