Our meeting spaces at The Caledonian Edinburgh tell the story of over a century of Scottish hospitality, right beneath the watchful presence of Edinburgh Castle. We've preserved the Victorian grandeur of this former railway station while carefully updating every detail for today's business needs. Eight distinct meeting rooms spread across our property, each maintaining original features like ornate ceiling work and tall windows that flood the spaces with natural light. The largest can accommodate 250 delegates theatre-style, while our more intimate boardrooms work perfectly for groups of 12-20. We've kept the period character intact – think restored wood paneling and those stunning stained-glass windows that inspired our guest room designs – while ensuring every space has the technology modern meetings demand. What sets our venue apart is how we've woven meeting facilities throughout this historic building. Some rooms offer those famous castle views, others overlook the bustling Princes Street, and each has its own character. The high ceilings create an airy atmosphere that keeps energy levels up during long sessions, and we've found the heritage setting actually helps creativity flow differently than in standard hotel meeting rooms. Between sessions, delegates can refuel at The Court, where our chefs prepare everything from working lunches to formal dinners. For evening receptions, Dean Banks at The Pompadour provides seven-course tasting experiences that turn corporate entertainment into something memorable. Our two-floor spa offers a unique advantage too – that 12.5-meter pool and steam room have saved many international conferences when jet-lagged attendees need to reset. We're a 10-minute walk from Waverley Station, with the Royal Mile and Old Town equally close. This central position means your attendees can explore Edinburgh's historic streets between meetings or extend their stay to experience the city properly.
