Art Deco marble pillars frame the entrance to the Temple of Peace, where we've been hosting Cardiff's most meaningful gatherings since our doors first opened. As a venue managed by the Welsh Centre for International Affairs, we bring something different to your meeting or wedding - every booking supports our charitable work in international development, peace, human rights, and global education. Our Marble Hall draws everyone's attention with its soaring columns and original art deco lighting fixtures. We can configure this space for 200 standing guests at a reception or seat 160 in cabaret style for conferences. Many couples choose the hall for their wedding ceremonies, drawn by the natural light filtering through the tall windows and the sense of occasion the architecture creates. For board meetings and smaller gatherings, our wood-panelled Council Chamber offers a more intimate setting. The rich paneling and period details create an atmosphere that encourages focused discussion - we regularly seat up to 60 attendees here. Our Committee Room and Room 38 work perfectly for breakout sessions, creative workshops, or those pre-wedding preparations that need a quiet space away from the main event. We handle all catering in-house, with our kitchen team focusing on seasonal ingredients sourced from local Welsh suppliers. Whether you need working lunches, formal dinners, or wedding breakfasts, we create menus that match your event. The building is fully accessible too - we've installed ramps and lifts throughout, and there's parking available on-site. Film crews often book our spaces for period dramas, taking advantage of the preserved 1930s features.
