Room “Work” is our room that reminds us of the original purpose of the building at Chausseestraße 86: 100 years ago, this house was once designed as a smithy. And so we set out to find artefacts and tools that document this “working character” of the house. You can now find these in the room “Work” in the form of an interesting mural, an anvil and other small furnishings.
A workshop room and working space for small and large groups
The room “Work” invites you to productive workshops, interactive seminars and inspiring lectures. The room is 32 square metres and can accommodate up to 15 people or – if it's more of a lecture – up to 20 people. Due to its spaciousness, agile meetings with a lot of interactio can also take place here. Would you prefer the workspace with a meeting table? We'll be happy to prepare it for you – there's enough space for up to 8 people.
In addition to the obligatory flipchart and a small sound system, there is also a pin board if required. You can attach full sheets of paper on the large divider, which (as you can see in the pictures) is also perfect for sticky notes. You will find a large 4m wide screen in the room, we are also happy to rent you our beamer.
There are usually eight chairs in the room, if you need more, just let us know – we'll sort it out.
Combined with room “Think”, the room really takes on size.
The room “Work” can be connected to the room “Think” by opening the (soundproof) mobile partition wall, so that the two rooms together offer over 55m² of space for large workshops, lectures or meetings. For large projections, an electric, 4-metre-wide screen can be lowered from the ceiling.
It is also possible to open the partition temporarily or halfway, so it can also serve as a room divider if you want several small groups to work independently of each other. And last but not least, individual elements of the partition can be used as a beamer wall.
Was steckt hinter dem Namen?
The room names of the main house of Meeet | Mitte derive from the concept of the “Walt Disney strategy”, which consultant and trainer Robert B. Dilts used to describe a creativity method: According to his observation, every creative process is divided into four (or more) roles or phases: Dreamer, Realist, Doer, Critic, Observer.
The makers are at home in room “Work” ! It is all about tackling and implementing things.
