We've found this circular arrangement transforms typical boardroom meetings into genuine conversations, with everyone able to see and engage with each other naturally. The room takes its character from the tall windows that frame views of our mature gardens and parkland beyond. On clear days, you'll spot the Pentland Hills while you work, and we often see deer grazing on the lawns during morning meetings. The high ceilings create an airy feel that helps ideas flow, while the traditional window drapes soften acoustics for clearer conversations. Our technical setup includes a large wall-mounted screen with integrated sound bar, perfect for video conferences or presentations. The system connects easily with laptops and mobile devices, so you can share content without fussing with cables. We've positioned the screen so everyone around the table has a clear view, whether you're reviewing documents or connecting with remote colleagues. The Burns Room works particularly well for board meetings, strategy sessions, or training workshops where interaction matters. The comfortable upholstered chairs encourage longer sessions without fatigue, and the neutral décor with subtle blue carpeting creates a calm, professional atmosphere. For larger groups, we can reconfigure the space theatre-style for up to 24 people, or arrange a more social layout for receptions hosting 35 guests. Our venue sits within Edinburgh Zoo's 82-acre estate, just outside the city centre with regular bus connections and free parking. The historic building adds gravitas to important meetings, while the option for attendees to explore the zoo during breaks offers something refreshingly different from typical meeting venues.
