The Mal 5 room transforms our church's former side chapel into one of our most flexible meeting spaces. Walk past the illuminated shelving that lines the walls, where soft lighting creates an atmosphere that's both professional and welcoming. We've found this particular room works brilliantly for everything from board meetings to training sessions, with natural light filtering through while maintaining complete privacy from the street below. The space comfortably hosts 60 people theatre-style, though many clients prefer our boardroom setup for 32, where the combination of plush seating and generous table space makes day-long sessions surprisingly comfortable. The patterned carpet adds visual interest without being distracting, while the neutral colour palette keeps focus where it should be, on your agenda. Our AV setup includes flatscreen TVs and projectors positioned for clear sightlines from every seat. The high-speed WiFi handles multiple devices without slowing, something our tech-heavy corporate clients particularly appreciate. Flip charts are available for those who prefer traditional brainstorming methods alongside the digital options. The room's versatility shows in its various configurations. U-shape arrangements work well for 20 participants when interaction is key, while cabaret style suits 30 for workshop sessions. Standing receptions for up to 55 guests flow naturally here, with the illuminated alcoves creating conversation spots throughout the space. Our kitchen team provides catering directly to the room, from working lunches to formal three-course dinners. They handle dietary requirements expertly, with vegan, halal and gluten-free options prepared with the same attention as our standard menus. Coffee breaks can be set up inside the room or in the adjoining space, depending on your preference. Being just off Blythswood Square means participants can walk from Glasgow Central in five minutes, while those driving find parking options nearby. The combination of our historic building's character with modern meeting requirements creates a space that feels both special and entirely practical.
