The Independent room sits on one of our upper floors, where purple accent walls frame a space built for serious business conversations. We've configured this room to seat 30 people around our boardroom table, creating clear sightlines that keep everyone engaged during lengthy strategy sessions or quarterly reviews. Our team chose the U-shaped table layout deliberately. It works particularly well when you're presenting financial projections or walking through complex proposals, as everyone can see both the presenter and the screen without craning their necks. The projector and screen handle everything from PowerPoint decks to live demos, while the flip chart and whiteboard give you space to capture those spontaneous ideas that emerge during discussions. We know meetings can run long, so we've invested in proper ergonomic chairs that actually support you through a full day of back-to-back sessions. The room stays bright under our commercial lighting system, helping maintain energy levels even during those post-lunch presentations. You'll find all the practical touches too: WiFi that handles multiple devices streaming simultaneously, a conference phone for bringing in remote colleagues, and whiteboard markers that actually work. Getting here couldn't be simpler. City Thameslink station is a four-minute walk, Blackfriars just slightly further. Your clients coming from Canary Wharf or King's Cross will appreciate the direct connections. Once they arrive at our Fleet Street building, they'll check in at reception and take the lift straight up, no maze of corridors to navigate. The Independent works equally well for board meetings, training sessions, or client pitches. We see teams using it for everything from morning stand-ups to day-long workshops. When you need to break for coffee or lunch, our business lounge is just down the corridor.
