Our Stuart Lounge has witnessed countless productive meetings since we first opened these doors in the 19th century. This intimate space sits up one flight of stairs from our main entrance, where twelve people can gather around the boardroom table for focused discussions. The room's character comes from its original features - a working fireplace serves as the focal point, while our crystal chandeliers cast warm light across the polished wooden furniture. We've equipped the space with everything modern meetings require. The overhead projector and screen work perfectly for presentations, while our flip chart stand and NOBO wipe-over board give teams flexibility for brainstorming sessions. Natural light streams through the large windows during daytime meetings, though the heavy curtains can be drawn when you need to focus on screen presentations. Our complimentary Wi-Fi keeps everyone connected throughout. The traditional decor creates a different atmosphere from typical corporate meeting rooms. Deep-buttoned upholstered chairs encourage longer discussions without discomfort, and the patterned carpet helps absorb sound for clearer conversations. We can arrange tea, coffee and biscuits for a small additional charge, served on proper china rather than disposable cups. Being five minutes' walk from Cardiff's main train station makes arrival straightforward for visiting colleagues, while St. David's Shopping Center sits even closer for anyone needing supplies. Our recent guests particularly appreciated our flexibility - when one group arrived later than scheduled on a packed day, we quickly arranged an alternative room at no extra cost. It's this personal touch that comes from being family-run rather than corporate-managed. The Stuart Lounge works especially well for board meetings, strategy sessions, or any gathering where everyone needs clear sightlines across the table. Our 28 guest rooms mean teams can stay overnight and continue discussions over breakfast the next morning.
