The red walls of Rake's Front Room hit you first, a bold Victorian statement that sets the tone for everything that follows. We've kept the original moldings and stained glass windows from this former railway hotel, but added contemporary art and geometric bar designs that make the space feel current, not preserved. The bar itself becomes a focal point, its shelves lined with spirits catching the light just right, while our bartenders craft cocktails inspired by 'The Rake's Progress'. Our seating tells its own story, plush sofas in jewel tones mixed with statement chairs that create natural conversation spots throughout the room. During standing receptions for up to 110 guests, people naturally gravitate to these intimate corners, drinks in hand, while the main floor stays open for mingling.
