Rich red velvet curves around The Martini Den's walls, creating pockets of conversation beneath artwork that gets everyone talking. We've tucked this space beneath our main bar, where up to 40 guests can stand with cocktails in hand, or 15 can settle into the plush seating for something more intimate. The ceiling art catches people off guard every time – splashes of colour that transform what could be just another basement into something memorable. Our sleek tables and comfortable stools encourage groups to cluster and chat, while soft candlelight on each table adds warmth without overwhelming the space. Birthday parties tend to gravitate towards the velvet banquettes, using them as headquarters between trips to our main bar just upstairs. Corporate gatherings work surprisingly well down here too. The layout flexes to accommodate presentations or networking, and being separated from the main venue means conversations flow without competing with our Thursday and Saturday DJs. Our mixologists are just steps away, crafting the seasonal cocktails we're known for, from spring signatures to those Birdcage Sharers that always spark conversation. The connection to our main bar means you get the best of both worlds – your own private space with easy access to our full cocktail menu and bar team. We've watched groups use The Martini Den as their base for the evening, venturing upstairs when they want to join the party, then retreating back down when they need a breather. Five minutes from St. Paul's, Mansion House, and Bank stations on Wood Street makes getting here straightforward for guests coming from across the city. The Den works equally well for after-work drinks that turn into something bigger or structured celebrations where you want control over the atmosphere while still feeling connected to the energy above.
