Behind an unassuming door on Great Newport Street, we welcome you to take over our entire speakeasy for your celebration. The Exclusive Venue Hire gives you private access to what was once Soho's most notorious illegal drinking den, complete with original tiled brickwork and the vintage piano where DJs now spin until the early hours. Your guests enter through our candlelit lounge, where red lampshades cast pools of warm light across polished wooden floors. We've arranged plush sofas and intimate tables throughout, creating natural spaces for conversation whilst maintaining room for dancing when the music takes hold. The bar runs along one wall, its intricate designs a backdrop to our bartenders crafting cocktails in vintage china cups and authentic Prohibition teapots. Our space holds up to 100 guests for standing receptions, with the flexibility to adapt the layout to your needs. Corporate gatherings often start with networking around the bar before moving to the comfortable seating areas, whilst birthday parties tend to gravitate towards the makeshift dancefloor as the night progresses. The portrait watching over proceedings adds to the sense of history, a reminder of the Krays and theatre folk who once held court here. We handle everything from setup to service, working with you to create the atmosphere you want. Some clients request our Friday night blues musicians for sophisticated gatherings, others prefer our resident DJs mixing retro classics for livelier celebrations.
