The Ballroom's sculpted ceiling draws guests' eyes upward the moment they enter, a masterpiece designed by Edward Middleton Barry, the same architect who created the Royal Opera House. We've watched countless faces light up when they first see our glittering chandeliers against the intricate Victorian cornicing, details that have remained untouched since the railway age. Red velvet curtains frame our tall arched windows, filtering London light across marble columns during afternoon celebrations. The space holds 200 for standing receptions, where guests often gather beneath the chandeliers for photos, or 150 for seated dinners where the acoustics carry toasts perfectly across the room. We regularly transform the layout from theatre-style (170 guests) for corporate presentations to cabaret rounds (100 guests) for awards ceremonies, with our team handling every chair and table adjustment. Our in-house catering team prepares everything from three-course wedding breakfasts to cocktail reception canapés, with dedicated vegan and gluten-free menus that rival our standard offerings.
