The Breakfast Area Our grand piano sits waiting beneath soaring Art Nouveau windows, where morning light plays across green marble pillars that have watched over Manchester conversations since 1902. This is where we host everything from networking drinks to birthday celebrations, with space for 60 guests seated at round and rectangular tables, or up to 100 mingling with drinks in hand. The original mahogany panelling wraps around the room, creating an intimate atmosphere despite the impressive ceiling height. We've arranged dark leather chairs around each table, their rich tones complementing the warm wood and creating comfortable spots for guests to settle into longer conversations. The mosaic flooring beneath your feet tells its own story, each tile laid when this building served as one of Manchester's grand banking halls. For evening events, our pianist often fills the space with music that drifts between the marble pillars, while the stained glass details catch the light from our carefully positioned fixtures. The room flows naturally, allowing guests to move between tables or gather near the piano for impromptu performances. We can arrange the space to suit your celebration, whether you're planning a formal banquet with three courses or prefer a more relaxed reception where guests can circulate freely. The ornate cornicing draws eyes upward, while those original Art Nouveau windows frame views of bustling Manchester beyond. Market Street tram stop is minutes away on foot, and buses stop almost directly outside, making arrival simple for all your guests. We'll work with you to create the right atmosphere for your event, using the building's natural grandeur as our starting point rather than trying to mask it with unnecessary decoration.
